Digital Phablet – Hadise Responds Firmly After Sinan Burhan Criticizes Her Stage Outfit.
Sinan Burhan, President of the Turkish Press Federation, criticized singer Hadise for her performance outfits. Burhan commented, “Hadise wore an outfit resembling that of a pornographic actress… Is this what you call art?”
In a statement posted on his social media, Sinan Burhan, head of the Turkey Press Federation, responded directly to Hadise. He said, “She stepped onto the stage in an outfit that looks like it belongs to a porn star. Is this truly art?” Burhan was highly critical of Hadise’s stage attire.
Burhan continued his critique by referencing renowned figures from Turkish arts and culture. He discussed the lasting impact of artists such as Aşık Veysel, Neşet Ertaş, Yaşar Kemal, Ara Güler, Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, and Ahmet Özhan, emphasizing how their work has profoundly influenced Turkish society and helped shape cultural norms. “If Hadise considers herself an artist, what do these icons represent?” he questioned.
“YOUNG PEOPLE ARE BEING POISONED”
Burhan kept criticizing: addressing his audience, he remarked, “If you’re wondering why certain videos are being shared, this message is for you. There’s poison in the air for the youth—closing your eyes won’t make it disappear. You can’t hide from it. It’s time to stop talking.”

While many on social media disagreed with Burhan’s statements, Hadise’s team had yet to comment publicly.
HADISE’S RESPONSE: “REMOVE YOUR HANDS AND TONGUES FROM THE WOMAN’S BODY”
Burhan’s remarks sparked widespread debate online, but the singer quickly responded. Hadise stated that his choice of words was sexist and unjust. She clarified, “I am not the target of this vile, intentional post that uses clips from last year’s Harbiye concert to threaten women—my name is being unfairly dragged into this. The harassment directed at me underscores the importance of the legal proceedings I’ve initiated. I will continue to pursue justice. Leave women alone—stop with the interference.”
