Digital Phablet – Renowned Egyptian filmmaker Sameh Abdel Aziz has sadly passed away at the age of 49 early Thursday morning due to an unexpected health issue, as confirmed by local news sources.
Ashraf Zaki, the president of the Artists Syndicate, expressed his condolences for the deceased director, announcing that the funeral service is scheduled for this afternoon at the Police Mosque in Sheikh Zayed.
Sameh Abdel Aziz experienced a sudden health crisis hours before his passing, necessitating emergency transport to the hospital while in grave condition.

In exclusive remarks made to Al Arabiya.net and Al Hadath.net, a close friend of the late director shared insights into his condition, explaining that he had lost consciousness two days prior, leading to his emergency hospitalization with family support. Despite extensive medical evaluations, the nature of his ailment remained undiagnosed.

Sameh Abdel Aziz was born in Cairo in 1976 and earned his degree in editing from the Higher Institute of Cinema in 1996.
He began his career as a program director for Egyptian television and later transitioned to Dream Channel, where he directed shows such as “Gana El Hawa” and “El Hawa Hawana” during Hala Sarhan’s leadership as channel president.
