Following ADOR’s termination, Danielle has officially been removed from NewJeans, causing a wave of backlash and heated discussions among fans of the renowned K-pop girl group. The original lineup of five members—Haein, Hyerin, Danielle, Minji, and Hanni—may now see its fifth member depart despite earlier statements indicating the group would stay in the spotlight. ADOR recently ended its contract with Danielle and is now pursuing legal action against her.
According to reports from the Korean Herald, ADOR is seeking penalties and damages from Danielle’s family and the company’s former CEO, Min Hee-jin, for breach of contract and reputational harm.
The company issued a statement affirming that Danielle “as a NewJeans member and ADOR artist, is no longer part of the group.” The news spread rapidly across social media platforms, with many fans expressing concern over what this means for the group’s future.
One fan shared, “I know this is just Twitter, and it’s never that serious. But I’m genuinely upset about Danielle. I don’t know her, and she doesn’t know me, but her presence in NewJeans feels essential, like with every member. I really like her, so I’m emotional right now.”
