Bhad Bhabie Sued by American Express for Nearly $675,000
American Express has filed a lawsuit against Bhad Bhabie, claiming she owes nearly $675,000 (£494,162). Despite earning around $1,480,000 (£1,084,000) from her OnlyFans account alone, the 22-year-old seems to have left some credit card bills unpaid. The accusations assert that the artist breached her credit agreement by neglecting to make required payments.
Bhad Bhabie, whose real name is Danielle Peskowitz Bregoli, initially gained fame as a viral meme after her appearance on Dr. Phil in 2016. During the episode, titled “I Want to Give Up My Car-Stealing, Knife-Waving, Twerking 13-Year-Old Daughter Who Tried to Frame Me for a Crime,” she appeared alongside her mother.
Known for her catchphrase, “Catch me outside; how about that?” this line became widely circulated online thanks to her distinct accent. Following her breakout moment, she faced some challenging years, including probation and a budding music career.
In 2017, Bhad Bhabie signed with Atlantic Records and released her debut single, “These Heaux.” Since then, she has toured and engaged in a diss track rivalry with Alabama Barker, daughter of Travis Barker.
Just days after turning 18 in 2021, she launched her OnlyFans profile, purportedly earning over $1 million (£732,400) within just six hours. Currently, she is reported to make approximately $1,480,000 monthly, ranking her among the platform’s top creators.
Reports indicate that Bhad Bhabie stopped making payments to her credit card company around December 2024, despite her substantial earnings. American Express extended her credit in April 2021, according to court documents obtained by People. These documents reveal that the credit was issued for purchases and cash advances on an American Express account.
The lawsuit claims that Bhad Bhabie had promised to cover all charges, fees, and interest on the account, either by paying the full amount monthly or making regular payments. Now, American Express seeks full reimbursement along with damages for the breach of contract.
In a recent interview with Interview Magazine, Bhad Bhabie referred to OnlyFans as “a good way to make a lot of money really fast.” In response to the lawsuit, she stated, “Sh*t not true. Where do they get this nonsense?”
