Recently, Syrian entertainer and YouTuber Bessan Ismail shared insights about her upcoming wedding plans, following her breakup with fiancé Mahmoud Maher.
Bessan expressed her joy over performing her debut solo show in Beirut, noting the nerves she felt as it marked her first time on stage alone. She shared her thoughts on social media’s influence in her artistic journey, emphasizing the importance of staying connected with friends “because they understand my story.” When inquired about her engagement plans, she revealed she would post news on social media and smiled, saying, “There’s nothing to hide.”
Since her first public performance in Lebanon garnered widespread attention and enthusiastic fan engagement, recent Google searches about the Syrian singer and YouTuber have surged.
Bessan performed in Lebanon, releasing a series of songs over the past five years including titles like “Alash,” “Al-Khabariya Sah,” “Aalami Inta,” “Ya Khali,” “Malo,” “Al-Ashr Kafouf,” “Ma’shouqi,” among others.
Before her concert yesterday, she shared her feelings with ET Bil Arabi, saying, “I’ll be singing my songs live for the first time, and I’m very excited.” She admitted there’s a mix of excitement and anxiety, confident that her nerves will fade once she steps on stage and sings her first lines.
Assala and Bessan Ismail recently crossed paths, with Bessan expressing admiration: “I love her so much. I’ve admired her as a role model for a long time and continue to do so.” She added that meeting Assala deepened her affection, describing her as a wonderful person she aspires to resemble.
Additionally, Bessan recently released a collaborative album titled “Alash” with singers Fouad Junaid and Amjad Jumaa. This project marks their first collaboration, and it has received positive responses and widespread participation from fans globally.
Fouad Junaid penned the song “Alash” and composed it with lyrics by Amjad Jumaa, producing a track with strong Eastern musical influences, blending Moroccan and Levantine dialects. This song is a follow-up to their highly successful debut track, “Khattiya,” which achieved viral popularity on social media and topped charts.
In poetic lyrics, “Alash” explores themes of sadness and deep emotion, with lines like “Let’s mourn my condition, my beautiful one, the fears and the whispers of the night.” It also probes profound questions such as, “Why did you leave me instead of the venomous blood flowing within me?” To visually complement the melancholic tone, a Lebanese studio was used, directed by Abdel Wahab Khatib, creating visuals that enhance the emotional depth of the song and add artistic value.
This collaboration between Bessan Ismail and Fouad Junaid continues their successful partnership following the viral success of “Khattiya,” further establishing their presence in the music scene.
