Aytaç Şaşmaz is gearing up to wear his military uniform once again as he stars in Star TV’s upcoming drama Sevdiğim Sensin. This marks his first role as a soldier since his breakthrough performance in the hit series Söz. The show is an ambitious project produced by Ay Yapım, with a script penned by Coşkun Irmak and Yeşim Aslan, and directed by Gökçen Usta. Both Şaşmaz and Helin Kandemir are leading figures on set.
The actor portrays Erkan Aldur, a soldier from Istanbul who protects villages from looters during an earthquake while on duty. Sevdiğim Sensin explores the dramatic and unexpected shifts in Erkan’s life after meeting a young woman from the village, transforming both their worlds.

Aytaç Şaşmaz shared that slipping back into a uniform stirred intense emotions. Recalling his previous role, he shared, “We filmed Söz back in 2017.” He continued, “Putting the uniform on again ignited a hunger within me. It brought back countless memories. Returning to the screen as a soldier on Star TV makes me smile. I truly missed it.”
