Digital Phablet – ATV’s new drama Aynadaki Yabancı brings together a stellar cast and captivating mystery.
The network is preparing to launch an exciting new series titled Aynadaki Yabancı, or “The Stranger in the Mirror,” which has already become one of the most highly anticipated projects of the year.
Earlier this week, the cast participated in their initial script reading, marking the official beginning of filming and the first time the full ensemble gathered together.
Directed by Eda Toksöz, known for her compelling storytelling, the show’s script was penned by Pelin Gülcan, Lara Bulut Tecim, Batuhan Özbay, and Berşan Tan. Produced by MF Yapım, the series is expected to become a top hit for ATV in the upcoming season.

The storyline centers on Azra, a woman whose seemingly flawless life unravels unexpectedly. As she desperately attempts to escape her past with her daughter, the consequences turn out to be even more severe than she anticipated. To survive, she must undergo drastic changes, adopting a new identity—reflecting that the heart often refuses to forget, even when the mind tries to repress it. The series promises a mixture of family bonds, emotional depth, and intrigue.
Esteemed Turkish actors headline the cast. Onur Tuna, celebrated for his roles in Yasak Elma and Mucize Doktor, leads the series. He is complemented by Simay Barlas, who recently received the Golden Butterfly Award for her performance in Yabani. Also making a significant impact is emerging star Caner Topçu.
Further supporting cast members include Sara Yılmaz, Emre Taşkıran, Ayten Soykök, Sema Gültekin, Soner Türker, Seher Terzi, Mümin Karaçil, and Nazlı Senem Ünal. Additionally, Asuman Dabak and Kerem Arslanoğlu are featured.
The cast’s initial rehearsal demonstrated strong chemistry, fueling shared excitement and anticipation for the series. Thanks to its talented lineup, engaging plot, and high production standards, Aynadaki Yabancı is poised to become one of ATV’s flagship shows later this fall, leaving fans eagerly awaiting its premiere.
