Digital Phablet reports that Johnson Wen has been formally charged in court for grabbing Ariana Grande at the Thai premiere of “Wicked: For Good” on Thursday night.
According to BBC News, Wen faces charges of creating a public disturbance in Singapore. A viral video shows Wen leaping over a barrier and rushing toward Grande on the red carpet, with her co-star Cynthia Erivo stepping in to shield her. Wen could be fined up to S$2000 ($1,540) if convicted. Reports indicate Wen intends to plead guilty.
Wen, age 26, maintains the Instagram handle Pyjama Man. His posts frequently detail encounters with celebrities at various events. He’s previously performed on stage at concerts by Katy Perry, The Weeknd, The Chainsmokers, among others. On Thursday, Wen posted on Instagram that he was “free after being arrested.”

Currently, Grande, Erivo, and the entire cast of “Wicked: For Good” are touring globally to promote the movie, which is scheduled for release on November 21. The tour’s final stop will be in New York City on Monday.
