DIGITAL PHABLET – A controversial scene in Uzak Şehir sparks outrage and actor resignation.
The popular Kanal D show Uzak Şehir has made headlines again, but this time not for its storyline—rather, for a scene featuring the colors of the Palestinian flag that ignited widespread debate.
A scene from the latest episode quickly went viral after depicting Sadakat throwing Alya’s clothes on the ground. Observers noticed that the clothing was red, green, white, and black, which are the colors of the Palestinian flag. Many viewers claimed the show disrespected the flag, sparking a surge of reactions across social media platforms.

As tensions escalated, audiences rallied with hashtags and demanded accountability from the show’s producers. One actor portraying “Fadıl,” Mehmet Yaşa, announced he would leave the series in protest as outrage intensified.
Yaşa stated, “Palestine is our red line,” in a video shared widely on social media. “In Palestine, mothers and children are being killed. I see this as wrong, and my mother would never forgive me if I stayed silent.”
“Yes, I know all doors will close in my face, but God closes one door only to open another,” he declared. “From now on, I am done with Uzak Şehir.”
The heartfelt message quickly gained traction online, with some praising Yaşa’s courageous stand and others questioning whether the scene had been misinterpreted.
One thing is certain: Uzak Şehir has once again demonstrated its ability to evoke feelings and spark conversations that extend beyond the screen.
