Google is currently testing a new feature in search results called “Posts on Reddit.” This addition appears to either replace or supplement the existing Discussions and Forums section, which also highlights Reddit threads in a separate area.
The discovery was first made by Khushal Bherwani, who shared a screenshot of the new section on a social media platform. However, attempts to replicate this feature have not been successful, as the current search results still display the standard discussions and forums section.
Another user, Sachin Patel, posted a video demonstrating how the “Posts on Reddit” section appears in search results when activated. It shows Reddit posts prominently featured in a dedicated area, indicating a focus on highlighting Reddit content in the search experience.
This move suggests that Google finds Reddit content particularly valuable and is experimenting with new ways to surface these discussions more prominently in search engine results.
