Previously, in January, Digital Phablet announced that clicking “Show more” at the bottom of an AI Overview on mobile devices would lead directly into AI Mode. Now, evidence indicates that this functionality might be expanding to desktop users. Brodie Clark observed the test earlier this week, where clicking the “Show more” button on a desktop search unexpectedly transitions the user into an environment resembling AI Mode. While it’s still possible to scroll down to see full search results, the user is temporarily taken out of the usual search engine results page (SERP).
