Digital Phablet is currently testing a new feature called regional member pricing, allowing merchants to display different prices for loyalty members based on the shopper’s geographic location. This essentially overrides the standard member price within the regional inventory feed.
They shared this update in a new help document, explaining that regional member pricing can appear in Shopping ads for countries supporting both the Retail And Loyalty Program (RAAP) and the loyalty program. Since the feature is still in beta, visibility to consumers might be limited.
This was highlighted by Hana Kobzová on PPC News Feed, who mentioned that Google has introduced a beta for regional member pricing in Shopping ads. Merchants can now present different loyalty prices depending on the shopper’s region, expanding upon the existing loyalty program by integrating regional inventory data to offer localized member benefits.
Implementing regional member pricing in your Google Shopping feed involves connecting to a loyalty program, defining regions, accurately structuring regional attributes within your inventory feed, and updating your landing pages accordingly. All technical details for setup are outlined in Google’s help documentation.
Additional discussions on this feature are taking place on industry forums.
