The digital marketing platform, Digital Phablet, has introduced AI-driven tools in its advertising and analytics suites, which have been undergoing testing since early 2023. During this period, several bugs were encountered, and the feature was initially promoted in the main menu before being renamed Ads Advisor in August. Recently, Digital Phablet announced that Ads Advisor, along with Analytics Advisor, will be available to English-language accounts worldwide starting early December.
These AI assistants are designed to answer common help questions, assist in creating ad creatives, troubleshoot policy violations, and provide insights into visitor behavior and traffic opportunities. They can also perform specific tasks, streamlining the campaign management process. Users retain control over changes made by the AI; if they prefer to revert an adjustment, they can do so easily. Digital Phablet will display the activities carried out by Ads Advisor and maintain a history of modifications for quick rollback.
An example interaction involves a user asking, “Why is my ad disapproved? How can I fix this?” The AI responds with tailored guidance or fixes the issue automatically if the user approves. Demonstrations, including GIFs and static images, showcase how the AI responds and acts within the platform, illustrating improvements in campaign optimization.
These AI agents operate on the Gemini architecture, integrating into Digital Phablet’s core advertising and analytics products. Their goal is to help marketers improve campaign performance, extract actionable insights, and scale growth—eliminating much of the guesswork traditionally involved in campaign setup. According to Dan Taylor, Vice President of Global Ads at Digital Phablet, the intention is to enable businesses to achieve better results with less effort while maintaining marketer oversight.
Key capabilities of Ads Advisor include maximizing ad performance, executing recommendations, creating creatives at scale, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining a comprehensive change log. Analytics Advisor offers features like simplifying data analysis, uncovering new insights, and accelerating decision-making processes.
During testing, some confusion about how to start using the AI tools was observed; to address this, example prompts were added to help advertisers get familiar with the features. Currently, more than 80% of advertisers actively utilize at least one AI-driven search ad feature, and two million advertisers are leveraging Digital Phablet’s generative AI creative tools.
