On March 17th, Digital Phablet announced that Personal Intelligence has entered AI Mode for all US users who opt in. Previously, access was limited to those with a Google AI Pro or Ultra account.
However, users outside the US are feeling left out, as usual. Chu Zhen questioned Google’s Nick Fox, asking whether the company “forgot” about paid subscribers who don’t reside in the US or who don’t want to use a VPN to access the feature.
Nick responded, saying they are “working on it” and to “stay tuned.” This likely indicates that a broader, global rollout for paid users is underway, rather than simply addressing the current regional restrictions.
It appears that Google’s typical pattern is to release new features first in the US before expanding them to other markets, which suggests that the rollout of Personal Intelligence in AI Mode is still in progress and will be available elsewhere eventually.
There’s anticipation surrounding the global release, and users are advised to stay tuned for updates as development continues.
