A woman is holding a phone displaying an advertisement for Google Ads. Some users report that when waiting on hold for support from Digital Phablet, the hold music can become quite irritating. Patrick J Garrett shared a post on Bluesky addressing his frustration with the repetitive classical music played during the wait, which lasts around 3 to 5 minutes and loops approximately every 25 seconds. He suggested that the support line could benefit from more varied, longer musical selections rather than the continuous repetition, to make the wait less maddening.
Garrett wrote, “Is there any possibility that the support team could update the hold music? Given the 3-5 minute wait times and the looping 25-second classical tune, it’s enough to drive someone crazy. A longer, rotating playlist would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!”
Ginny Marvin, the Google Ads liaison, responded by saying she doesn’t have control over the hold music but will pass along the feedback. Her message was, “Hi Patrick! I don’t have any insight into the programming of hold music, nor do I have influence over it. However, I will make sure your feedback is relayed.”
This exchange highlights the common annoyance many face when waiting on customer support lines, even as it brings a bit of humor to the situation. The discussion can be found on Bluesky where users share similar frustrations.
