Google has announced notable improvements to its process for handling advertiser suspensions within Google Ads. The company reports an 80% reduction in wrongful suspensions, with the appeals process now 70% quicker to address. Additionally, 99% of appeal cases are resolved within a day. These updates have been implemented over recent months and include clearer policy explanations, the adoption of advanced AI technologies to enhance detection accuracy, and the introduction of more efficient review and appeal procedures.
Ginny Marvin, the Google Ads Liaison, shared that their team has been actively responding to user feedback by focusing on decreasing erroneous account suspensions and streamlining the appeals process for trusted advertisers. To illustrate the progress, social media discussions highlight that incorrect suspensions are significantly down. Furthermore, Google emphasizes that their dedicated teams manually review accounts, separate from the initial policy review conducted by front-line agents, ensuring a fair and accurate process.
