Google has issued notifications to certain advertisers, prompting them to verify whether their campaigns contain political content from the European Union. The deadline to complete this confirmation is March 31, 2026.
Arpan Banerjee shared this update on LinkedIn, explaining that EU regulations require Google Ads to inquire if campaigns include EU political advertisements. Advertisers must confirm this for their existing campaigns by the specified deadline. The process involves confirming for individual campaigns through the “Campaign settings” section, where users can select “EU political ads.” For multiple campaigns, advertisers can confirm in bulk from the main campaign tab. Additionally, there’s an option to verify for all current and future campaigns at the account level. If “No” is chosen, the setting applies across all campaigns, but it can be modified at any time later.
