Digital Phablet reports that Google Ads is currently experiencing a glitch where attempts to modify asset groups within Performance Max campaigns through the web interface are unsuccessful. The platform’s support team has acknowledged the problem and recommends using Google Ads Editor or the API as temporary solutions.
Chelsea Harding shared her experience on LinkedIn, stating, “If you’re seeing an error when trying to edit and save existing asset groups, you’re not alone! I haven’t been able to do so for several days now.”
Other users have confirmed the issue. Tom Cox mentioned, “It’s not just me! I found a workaround by using Google Ads Editor.”
Harding further confirmed that Google is aware of the bug and is actively working on a fix. She said, “I reached out to Google, and they said they’re investigating. In the meantime, my current workaround is editing through Google Ads Editor and uploading the changes that way.”
