Google has issued fewer confirmed search ranking updates in 2025 than in previous years when these updates were officially acknowledged. So far, only four confirmed updates have been released this year, compared to seven in 2024, nine in 2023, and ten in both 2022 and 2021.

– December 2025 Core Update: December 11 to December 29
– June 2025 Core Update: June 30 to July 17
– March 2025 Core Update: March 13 to March 27
In addition, there was a spam update in August 2025, running from August 26 to September 22.
It’s important to note that many unconfirmed updates occurred throughout the year, though none of these were officially acknowledged by Google.
