Minieye Technology has partnered with a Saudi cross-border investment firm to advance the adoption of its autonomous delivery vehicles within the Middle East. The collaboration aims to facilitate the large-scale deployment of Level-4 autonomous vans in Saudi Arabia, with a target of up to 1,000 vehicles by 2030. This marks the company’s entry into the Middle Eastern market and its first international expansion of this nature.
The company will begin delivering its Xiaozhu robovan, which is primarily designed for last-mile deliveries and retail applications such as supermarkets and related sectors. Along with the vehicles, Minieye will provide a comprehensive set of technical solutions tailored for the Saudi market. Special efforts will be made to optimize the Xiaozhu for the region’s extreme high temperatures and sandstorms, ensuring reliable operation under harsh conditions.
The company’s intelligent driving systems and smart cockpit products are already integrated into various vehicles sold internationally, including markets in the European Union, Australia, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Dubai, and Turkey.
The investment partner specializes in fostering cross-border investments between Asia and the Middle East. Since 2017, with backing from sovereign wealth funds and investors from both regions, it has been instrumental in establishing the first cross-border investment platform connecting Saudi Arabia and China.
