Huawei Technologies experienced consistent growth in both revenue and net profit last year, aligning with market expectations. The Shenzhen-based telecommunications giant reported an 8.7% increase in net profit, reaching approximately $9.7 billion, driven by a rise in revenue of 2.2%, totaling around $126 billion, in 2025.
The company’s leadership highlighted the achievement of key business objectives, emphasizing the establishment of a robust foundation for sustainable growth. Over the past year, Huawei strengthened its competitive advantages while maintaining a clear strategic focus, committing to high-quality development, and striving to deliver innovative products and services to its customers.
Operational cash flow from core activities soared by 44%, totaling about $19.2 billion, even as cash and short-term investments declined by 13%, settling at roughly $55 billion. Research and development expenses increased by 7%, reaching approximately $29.4 billion, accounting for nearly 22% of annual revenue. Over the last decade, the firm invested more than $30 billion in R&D, employing around 114,000 researchers, over half of whom work in research and development.
The company emphasized ongoing investments in foundational research and innovation areas such as artificial intelligence, communications technology, intelligent devices, and automotive solutions. A senior executive noted that AI could be the most significant technological revolution in human history, presenting substantial opportunities over the coming decade and beyond.
Huawei boasts one of the world’s largest patent portfolios, with 165,000 active patents across critical standard fields including cellular communication, short-distance protocols, and audio-video codecs. Hundreds of firms have licensed Huawei’s patents through over 260 licensing agreements.
Business Segment Highlights
Revenue from the ICT infrastructure segment, its largest source of income, increased by 2.6% to approximately $56.4 billion. The company pointed out that AI is becoming integral across various industries, transforming from basic office assistants to essential components of core production systems.
Revenue from cloud computing declined slightly by 3.5%, totaling $4.9 billion. Despite this, Huawei Cloud continues efforts to offer secure, reliable, and innovative cloud services, helping industries overcome challenges through AI infrastructure, intelligent models, and industry enablement platforms. In China alone, Huawei Cloud services major banks, insurance companies, automakers, internet giants, and retail firms, providing tailored solutions for these sectors.
The consumer business segment saw a 1.6% increase in revenue to approximately $52.4 billion. The company focused on delivering a seamless smart experience across a broad product range—including smartphones, tablets, PCs, wearables, and connected vehicles—feeding into its ecosystem. As of year-end, over 36 million devices were operating on HarmonyOS 5 and 6, with more than 10 million registered developers and over 350,000 apps available on the platform.
The automotive solutions branch experienced the fastest growth, with revenue jumping 72% to over $6.4 billion. The division delivered more than 430,000 vehicles in 2025, with the Qiankun intelligent driving system active in over 1.4 million cars, accumulating nearly seven billion kilometers of assisted driving.
Another segment, digital power, grew by 13%, reaching about $11.2 billion, while other areas saw a significant decline of 76%, bringing in about $1 billion.
Regionally, China remained the main market, with revenues steady at about $92.8 billion. Revenue in Europe and the Middle East increased by 8.8% to $23.7 billion, while Asia Pacific experienced a 16% rise, reaching approximately $7.9 billion.

While exploring new opportunities, Huawei intends to stay committed to its strategic priorities, focusing primarily on hardware as its main revenue driver. A senior executive emphasized the importance of maintaining disciplined development boundaries, strengthening competitive advantages, and establishing a solid, innovation-friendly environment.
The company plans to continue expanding its foundational ecosystem throughout the year. High-quality standards are viewed as essential for survival and growth, prompting ongoing improvements across product manufacturing, services, networks, and business operations to support comprehensive, high-quality development.
Huawei also plans to escalate R&D investments in key areas like connectivity, computing, cloud services, devices, autonomous driving, and artificial intelligence. Integration of AI and security features into products and networks will be prioritized, alongside the development of industry-specific ecosystems around proprietary platforms like Ascend, Kunpeng, and HarmonyOS, fostering collaboration and shared success.
