The Chinese market not only experienced positive growth in the third quarter, but the momentum has also picked up, particularly in the luxury segment, according to the CEO of L’Oréal Group at the 8th China International Import Expo. He highlighted that the French cosmetics giant is increasingly utilizing innovations developed in China within its flagship products.
The proprietary Polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN) technology used in L’Oréal Paris’ Revitalift Filler Serum was developed in China and is set to be launched globally, the CEO revealed.
“We are now fostering more innovation here in China, supported by laboratories, creative studios, and collaborations with local biotech and tech firms,” he explained. “Many of these developments have the potential to inspire the entire world.”
During the event, the CEO also introduced Longevity Integrative Science™, an initiative focused on skin longevity research led by the company’s Chinese labs. “Many of us may live beyond 100 years, which makes it vital to focus on living better. Our research aims to connect external signs of aging in the skin and hair with underlying cellular and molecular processes. By pinpointing the key indicators of skin aging, we hope to eventually delay, reset, adjust, and even reverse the aging process,” he said.
As a consistent participant since its inception, the company has already committed to the ninth China International Import Expo next year. The head of L’Oréal North Asia and China emphasized the company’s dedication: “L’Oréal is committed to serving China’s needs and also contributing to the global community.”
