Chinese robotic vacuum companies showcased a range of upgraded products at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show, including stair-climbing robot vacuums and lawn-mowing robots equipped with robotic arms.
Dreame Technology introduced its latest lawn-mowing robot powered by embodied intelligence, capable of identifying over 300 common yard objects and autonomously grabbing and storing them. The company also revealed a new pool-cleaning robot with similar intelligence, able to recognize debris and stains, then perform targeted cleaning actions such as grabbing and wiping.
Roborock demonstrated a stair-climbing robot vacuum designed to automatically ascend stairs while cleaning each step, and Ecovacs unveiled an intelligent pet companion robot. This robot, featuring multimodal perception and pet-like behaviors, can provide emotional interaction and create a new form of companionship.
The upgraded consumer robots unveiled at the event aim to solve common user issues by improving cleaning efficiency, broadening their range of applications, and reducing the need for human intervention. These advancements leverage artificial intelligence to meet the needs of various niche markets, according to a strategic client director from a major consumer intelligence firm.
Market analysts point out that these new products are still in the early stages of realizing their full market potential. Their success hinges on how well they can address real-world challenges and meet consumer expectations.
