Deepal Automobile Technology has reduced its annual sales target for this year, according to information shared by the chairman of the company’s electric vehicle division. The company now aims to sell 360,000 units during the year. To meet this goal, significant efforts will need to be made in collaboration with the new President, Jiang Hairong.
Originally, Deepal set a global sales target of 500,000 units for 2025. However, in the first eight months, the company only sold 198,600 vehicles, averaging around 25,000 per month. To hit the new target of 360,000 units, an additional 160,000 vehicles must be sold by year-end, requiring an average of 40,000 units each month.
According to the chairman, there is still a good chance of reaching this revised goal given the current situation. The company plans to rely heavily on the S05 and S07 models, which are being sold internationally, as well as the L06, set to launch in China in the fourth quarter.
The S07 is available in 70 countries, having been introduced in Germany at the Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung Mobility 2025, coinciding with the European release of the S05. The L06 is expected to generate new demand and become a key sales driver for the company.
Over the next five years, Deepal intends to introduce 30 new mainstream and specialty models. The goal is not only to meet sales targets but also to develop standout vehicles and blockbuster hits.
Last year, Deepal sold 243,894 vehicles, marking a 78% increase over the previous year, which positioned it among the top 10 electric vehicle brands worldwide in terms of sales.
