On December 24, the workplace messaging platform from a major tech company announced the launch of over 20 artificial intelligence products, including what it describes as the world’s first work-dedicated intelligent operating system designed specifically for AI. This move is seen as a response to growing competition in the industry.
The central feature, called AgentOS, focuses on managing and coordinating AI agents while fostering an open AI ecosystem. The company’s founder and CEO of DingTalk explained during a product launch event that the goal is to attract more industry players into the application’s ecosystem—covering AI industry models, hardware markets, and model protocol frameworks.
All upcoming AI agents within the platform will be developed and managed using AgentOS, the CEO emphasized.
Additionally, the company introduced DingTalk Real, an enterprise-level AI hardware solution. Developed over the past four months in collaboration with clients, this integrated hardware and software product serves as a new terminal for the company’s AI agents, enabling them to autonomously connect and interact with the physical environment.
AI agents will operate within authorized boundaries, ensured through real identity verification, intranet data connectivity, and real-time data monitoring features of DingTalk Real. This setup guarantees that human oversight remains intact.
Furthermore, the company upgraded its AI Sheets into a comprehensive platform for creating applications in the AI era, along with a new batch of related products. The platform’s core capability is to allow AI to interpret data and perform complex tasks that were previously unimaginable during form creation or data processing.
