In a recent conference call, Xiaopeng Motors Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng announced ambitious plans for the company’s latest innovation, the IRON robot. He disclosed that the next-generation IRON robot is slated for mass production by the end of 2026, signaling a significant step forward in the company’s robotics development.
He highlighted that the new IRON model is equipped with three Turing AI chips, providing the robot with significantly higher computational power on the edge compared to industry standards. This hardware boost is expected to enable more advanced capabilities and smarter interactions.
Additionally, He mentioned that the VLA2.0 technology stack has already been successfully integrated into the robot platform. Coupled with the recently developed fourth-generation motion control system, Xiaopeng plans to showcase impressive movement and control performance in the latter half of this year.
He expressed strong confidence in the IRON robot’s intelligence level, suggesting that it will establish a technological lead that could set new industry standards across generations. The company aims to reach a production capacity of over 1,000 units monthly by the end of this year, underscoring its commitment to scaling up manufacturing processes.
Looking ahead, He Xiaopeng stated that with IRON’s advanced AI capabilities and Xiaopeng’s advantages in mass production and supply chain management, the company aspires to become one of the world’s largest and most valuable humanoid robotics firms. This bold vision positions Xiaopeng to challenge traditional players in both automotive and robotics sectors, steering toward a future where intelligent robots play a more prominent role in everyday life.
