On July 10, the Volcano Engine public account announced that Samsung’s new Galaxy Z series will now feature the Doubao large model and the Volcano Engine’s connected Q&A Agent. These advancements are aimed at expanding AI applications in high-frequency scenarios such as travel, music, gaming, visual creation, and smart Q&A, thereby enhancing the functionality of AI smartphones.
Yesterday, Samsung officially launched its latest Z series products: the Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, and Z Flip7 FE.
The new devices come equipped with the Bixby voice assistant, which has been upgraded by incorporating the Doubao deep thinking model and the connected Q&A Agent. This enhancement allows users to access a wealth of information about tourist attractions, dining options, hotels, and more, all presented in visually appealing formats. Additionally, the assistant now integrates a music generation model, enabling users to create music based on text inputs.
In terms of smart interaction, the new series includes a “Search as You Circle” feature. Leveraging the visual understanding and logical reasoning capabilities of the Doubao large model, users can photograph questions to achieve text, formula, and chart recognition, receiving step-by-step solutions and further explanations. The AI image capabilities have also been upgraded to include pet portrait processing, allowing users to apply cartoonish or fisheye effects to uploaded pet photos.
