During the 2025 Xiaopeng Technology Day event yesterday, CEO He Xiaopeng revealed a significant demand for artificial intelligence (AI) talent within the company. He emphasized that the majority of Xiaopeng’s AI professionals are recent graduates, highlighting the company’s strong focus on nurturing fresh talent.
He shared that in the first half of the year, Xiaopeng hired a graduate with an annual salary of 1.6 million yuan, and salary offers in the second half are reportedly even higher. He candidly stated that Xiaopeng does not set a cap on salary for graduates, whether they are experts in AI or automotive engineering.
“We are very open to talent related to mass production of robotics and look forward to adding them to help bring our Xiaopeng IRON robot into mass production,” he added.
Yesterday also saw Xiaopeng unveil its latest innovation—a humanoid robot named IRON. According to He Xiaopeng, this robot is equipped with a “brain” capable of human-like thought processes. It is currently among the most powerful humanoid robots globally, and by next year, Xiaopeng expects it to rank among the smartest of its kind.
The company aims to become China’s first manufacturer of high-end, mass-produced humanoid robots, with plans to achieve large-scale production by the end of 2026. This ambitious effort underscores Xiaopeng’s commitment to advancing robotics and AI technology, positioning itself at the forefront of this rapidly evolving industry.
