WWDC will kick off on June 6 and run through June 10 with updates to all of its platforms, including iOS, iPadOS, MacOS, watchOS, and tvOS.

“WWDC22 will showcase the latest innovations in iOS, iPadOS, MacOS, watchOS, and tvOS, while giving developers access to Apple engineers and technologies to learn how to create groundbreaking apps and interactive experiences.” Apple says.

Apple’s venerable entry-level notebook MacBook Pro M2 and the MacBook Pro 13-inch could potentially make their debut at this year’s WWDC.

Apple could also use the event to release more details about a refreshed Mac Pro with a custom Apple silicon made up of either 20 or 40 compute cores and integrated graphics with either 64 or 128 GPU cores.

It's rumored that Apple is working on a new Pro Display XDR with a 7K resolution panel.

Expect Apple to debut the latest iOS 16 and watchOS 9 platforms. The OS updates will introduce new UI elements and features that could revive the  existing hardware.

Apple may upgrade the desktop OS’s version number to 13 this year in succession to Monterey, and may name it after some Alpine Californian location.

Special: Apple will host a very limited in-person component of WWDC targeting students and developers.

Both events will be pre-recorded, and a live stream will be available through Apple’s events page and the company’s YouTube channel.
