Crimson Desert has many crafting materials, including minerals to strengthen weapons and various ingredients for cooking. Some of these, particularly the more obscure ones, can be easy to overlook but are important for progress.
One such material is Wild Ginseng, which is necessary to boost your Spirit meter beyond Level 8. Wild Ginseng isn’t found everywhere, so knowing specific locations where it reliably appears can save time.
Wild Ginseng Location
1. Location #1
If you’re searching for Wild Ginseng, head north to Silver Wolf Mountain. In particular, go just southeast of the Abyss Gate near the Longleaf Shade Outpost. After warping there, climb up the rocks until you reach a high point. Look for a small outcrop with tall trees and some lavender plants. Along the rocks, find tiny red buds, which are the Ginseng plants. Usually, there are only two or three, but harvesting them can yield between one and four pieces of Ginseng. This spot is close to the Abyss Gate and easy to access at any level, making it one of the best places to farm Wild Ginseng.
2. Location #2
Another good spot is southwest of Silver Wolf Mountain, in an area called Longroots. Find the Abyss Gate overlooking this area, located atop a mountain. From there, look west and jump down to the mountain’s base. Face the mountain you just descended from and locate a small cave entrance with a large tree outside. This can be tricky to find due to thick fog. Inside the cave, follow the path until you cross some water. In front of a stone lantern, you will find three Wild Ginseng plants. Like the previous spot, this location is right next to the Abyss Gate, making it a convenient place for farming.
3. Location #3
The last recommended spot is a street vendor in Pailune. To unlock this vendor, you must finish Chapter 7 of the main story. Until then, the city remains under hostile control. After completing the chapter, go to Pailune’s capital and head northeast. Look for the large temple where you fought Myurdin. Outside the temple, on the right side of the main doors, you will find a street vendor with Ginseng for sale—five pieces for 1.50 Silver each. These vendors refresh inventory every 24 hours, making it a reliable and quick way to buy Wild Ginseng if you have extra money.
You will need a total of 10 Wild Ginseng to advance your Spirit meter. By checking these locations, you should gather enough without having to farm excessively again.
