Just when you thought your shopping spree was over, Incase, the company behind Microsoft accessories, unveiled a new compact but pricey keyboard on its website. This ergonomic keyboard presents impressive specifications, though its steep price may give some customers pause before making a purchase.
The keyboard features “ultra-responsive” scissor keys that offer 1.3mm of travel, providing a typing experience that doesn’t require excessive force. Incase boasts that you can connect up to three devices via Bluetooth 5.1, but it will require two AAA batteries, which the company claims can last for up to 36 months.
We’ll need to test this keyboard to determine if it can truly be classified among the top keyboards for the coming year, but it certainly looks to be a strong contender in the ergonomic keyboard market.
This new keyboard is compatible with Windows 11 and 10, measuring 13 inches by 8.6 inches by 1.2 inches, with a price of $200.
This keyboard’s release was anticipated after Onward Brands, the parent company of Incase, acquired the rights to manufacture Microsoft accessories. Microsoft announced in April that it would be winding down its peripherals division, which includes keyboards, webcams, and additional accessories, to focus more on its Surface lineup.
Marshall Clark, general manager of Onward, stated, “The Compact Ergonomic Keyboard was designed to occupy the smallest footprint possible while ensuring typing accuracy, comfort, and high performance. We are incredibly proud to launch what we believe is the most innovative and comfortable keyboard for work, play, and education.”
