John Wick Returns For 10th Anniversary With Ballerina Preview
It’s official—he’s back! A decade ago, Keanu Reeves delivered that unforgettable line in John Wick. This November, fans can relive that moment as John Wick hits theaters once more to commemorate its 10th anniversary. On November 3 and 6, Lionsgate and Fathom Events are collaborating to bring John Wick back to select cinemas. The anniversary screenings will include an exclusive preview of Ballerina, the forthcoming spinoff in the John Wick franchise. Set during the timeline of John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum, Ana de Armas stars as Eve Macarro, a young dancer training to become an assassin for the Ruska Roma crime syndicate.

In the original film, Reeves portrays John Wick, a hitman who leaves his violent life behind to find peace with his wife, Helen (Bridget Moynahan). Following Helen’s untimely death, John is brutally attacked by Russian gangsters, who steal his car and murder his puppy. Grief-stricken and thirsting for vengeance, John reenters the deadly world he hoped to escape, igniting chaos throughout New York City’s criminal landscape.

Since its release in October 2014, John Wick became an unexpected blockbuster, raking in over $86 million on a budget of $20-$30 million. The film reestablished Reeves as a leading action star and birthed one of the most unlikely franchises in recent cinematic history.

The success of John Wick paved the way for three sequels: John Wick: Chapter 2, John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum, and John Wick: Chapter 4. A fifth installment is currently in the works. The upcoming film, From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, is set to be the first spinoff, with another movie focusing on Donnie Yen’s character, Caine, also in development.
