Honor Partners with Google Cloud to Revolutionize AI Experience at IFA 2024

Berlin, Germany – September 5, 2024 – During the 2024 IFA (International Consumer Electronics Show) event in Berlin, Honor CEO Zhao Ming announced a groundbreaking collaboration with Google Cloud, which will integrate select AI features into the upcoming Magic V3 smartphone.

The partnership is founded on Honor’s AI security framework, emphasizing principles such as “minimum access and usage of user information,” and ensuring comprehensive desensitization of user privacy data. Consumers can expect innovative experiences, including AI erasure and AI translation, as part of this cloud and terminal synergy.

For instance, the AI erasure feature allows users to select specific photos without granting access to their entire photo album. The device’s AI will ensure that only the chosen image is utilized while automatically desensitizing sensitive information like addresses and timestamps. Once the user selects the photo, the Honor Personal Cloud will identify the areas that need to be erased and upload the necessary content to Google Cloud for processing. Additionally, a risk control system will review the edited photos to prevent the inclusion of inappropriate content such as violence or explicit imagery before it is returned to the user’s personal cloud and device.

In his announcement, Zhao emphasized that as a pioneer in platform-level AI technology in the consumer electronics sector, Honor has a profound understanding of end-user requirements. He pledged that the company will continue to leverage its extensive hardware expertise to deliver a consumer experience that is not only magical but also centered around personalization, humanity, and privacy security.

The collaboration marks a significant advancement in consumer technology, promising to enhance user experience while prioritizing privacy and security in the evolving digital landscape.
