At the IFA 2024 consumer electronics trade show in Berlin on September 6, Changhong unveiled its latest advancements in AI home appliances. The company showcased its commitment to expanding its international presence and deepening its global strategy.

On the opening day of the event, Changhong introduced two significant products: the world’s first AI TV, the Cang Hai Intelligent AI TV, and the industry’s first specialized white goods AI model, the Changhong Meiling Smart Home AI Model. These launches represent a substantial step forward in the application of AI technology within household appliances.

The Cang Hai Intelligent AI TV has made remarkable progress compared to last year’s Changhong “Yunfan” model, achieving capabilities that allow it to communicate, think, and learn. Utilizing self-developed adaptive wake-up technology and multi-channel algorithms, the TV provides highly accurate voice wake-up and recognition, offering users a conversational experience akin to interacting with a family member. The Cang Hai model demonstrates enhanced cognitive abilities, allowing it to learn and adapt to meet evolving user needs.

Meanwhile, the Changhong Meiling Smart Home AI Model boasts an impressive 8 billion parameters, which enables it to be integrated into appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, dryer-irons, and air conditioners—equipping them with thinking capabilities. This model can understand user demands and anticipate preferences, thereby delivering more precise services. For example, it employs AI freezing technology, AI self-service for refrigerators, and AI fabric care solutions that tailor freshness, washing, and drying recommendations based on the characteristics of food items and the condition of clothing.

In addition to its technological innovations, Changhong is also actively promoting sustainability and low-carbon development. The company designed its exhibition space to create a futuristic smart living environment, enhancing the experience for attendees at IFA 2024. Moreover, TÜV Süd awarded Changhong Meiling with greenhouse gas verification and carbon footprint certification, highlighting the company’s efforts and achievements in promoting green and sustainable development.

Additionally, Changhong announced a partnership at the event, signing a collaboration agreement with the FIS Ski World Cup and the German Ski Association (DSV). This alliance aims to advance and popularize winter sports while further enhancing the international profile of the Changhong CHiQ brand.
