Aston Martin, the renowned British automaker, has introduced the DBX S, marking it as the most powerful non-electrified SUV currently available. This new flagship SUV combines elements of the DBX 707 with enhancements taken from the Valhalla supercar, promising an exhilarating driving experience through increased power, reduced weight, and a more aggressive design.
The DBX S continues the brand’s legacy of using the ‘S’ designation to signify high-performance variations of its models—a tradition that began with the Vanquish S in 2004.
This latest model underscores Aston Martin’s dedication to creating performance-driven vehicles. CEO Adrian Hallmark stated, “The launch of the DBX S not only reaffirms our commitment to developing the most thrilling, satisfying, and appealing cars, but it also sends a strong message about our aspirations for the DBX and the Aston Martin brand as a whole.”

What’s under the hood of the Aston Martin DBX S?
At its heart, the DBX S is powered by an enhanced 4.0-liter Twin-Turbo V8 engine, equipped with turbo technology sourced from the Valhalla supercar. This results in a power upgrade of 20PS, bringing it to 727PS (717bhp), making it 2bhp more powerful than its rival, the Ferrari Purosangue. The acceleration from 0 to 62 mph matches that of the DBX 707 at 3.3 seconds, while Aston Martin boasts a 0.3-second reduction in the time needed to reach 124 mph. The top speed remains capped at 193 mph, complemented by a modified exhaust that amplifies the V8’s roar.
Weight reduction strategies include an optional carbon fiber roof to lower the center of gravity and the availability of 23-inch magnesium wheels, a first for the SUV market. Additionally, a lightweight honeycomb grille can be chosen to assist with weight distribution. The steering ratio has been improved by 4 percent for enhanced agility, resulting in a turning radius that is nearly half a meter smaller than that of the DBX 707.
Visually, the DBX S stands out with a unique black vaned grille, alongside the optional honeycomb design, a new front splitter, a redesigned diffuser, and modified side sills. The rear features vertically stacked quad exhausts available in both gloss and matte finishes. Inside, the bespoke ‘S’ theme includes a herringbone seat pattern, upholstered in Alcantara and semi-aniline leather as standard, or fully in semi-aniline leather, per preference.
The DBX S also introduces Aston Martin’s latest infotainment system and includes a high-end audio package, with an optional setup from Bowers & Wilkins.
The Aston Martin DBX S is currently available for order, with deliveries anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2025. While pricing information has yet to be disclosed, it’s safe to assume it will carry a premium price tag.
