Here’s how you can determine the storage capacity you can add:

  1. Check Motherboard Specifications:
    Look up your motherboard model online to find the specifications. The manual or manufacturer’s website will provide details about the number of M.2 and SATA slots available.

  2. Identify Drive Compatibility:
    Make sure the M.2 drives you consider are compatible with your motherboard. M.2 drives come in various sizes (like 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280), so check which size your motherboard supports.

  3. Calculate Total Capacity:
    Each M.2 and SATA drive can come in various capacities. For instance, M.2 drives can range from 256GB up to 4TB or more, while SATA drives typically range from 120GB to 10TB. Add them up based on what you plan to install.
