If you’ve recently updated your iPhone 17 and noticed that Siri now turns on whenever you move your AUX cord, you’re not alone. Many users have experienced this unexpected change, but luckily, there’s a simple fix to get your phone back to normal.

First, it’s important to understand that this issue is usually caused by the way your iPhone detects when headphones are plugged in or moved. The update might have changed some settings or sensors, making Siri activate more easily.

To fix this, start by checking your accessory settings:
1. Connect your AUX cord to your iPhone 17.
2. Go to the Settings app.
3. Tap on Bluetooth or Sounds & Haptics, depending on your options.
4. Look for any settings related to audio input or headphones—some updates add new controls here.
5. Turn off any setting that automatically activates Siri when headphones are moved or plugged in.

If that doesn’t work, try restarting your phone:
– Press and hold the side button and either volume button until the power off slider appears.
– Drag the slider to turn off your iPhone.
– Wait a few seconds, then press and hold the side button again to turn it back on.

Another step is to reset your settings. This won’t delete your apps or data but will reset your preferences:
1. Open Settings.
2. Tap General.
3. Scroll down and select Reset.
4. Tap Reset All Settings.
5. Confirm your choice and wait for your phone to restart.

If Siri keeps activating with the AUX cord, it might also help to disable “Hey Siri”:
1. Open Settings.
2. Tap Siri & Search.
3. Toggle off Listen for “Hey Siri.”

After trying these steps, your iPhone should stop activating Siri when moving the AUX cord. If the problem persists, contacting Apple Support or visiting an Apple Store can give you more tailored advice.

Remember, software updates sometimes introduce new features or bugs, so it’s nothing unusual. With a few tweaks, you can usually get your device working just the way you like again.
