V Rising: Locations, Waygates, and Cave Passageways

[keyword]

V Rising allows for fast travel using specific locations, helping you save valuable time. However, you’ll need to discover these locations first. There are two methods for fast travel in the game: Vampire Waygates and Cave Passages, each with its own pros and cons.

This guide discusses both options, their advantages and disadvantages, and their locations. Let’s jump right in!

Vampire Waygates

Vampire Waygates provide a traditional method to teleport in V Rising. You can move between different Waygates you’ve discovered during your exploration. However, they have a major drawback: you cannot use them if you have resources or loot in your inventory. You must clear your inventory to fast travel or walk to your desired destination.

Vampire Waygates are marked on the map with green portal-like icons, which only appear once you’ve discovered them. When you find a Waygate, interact with it to choose your destination. Remember, you can only fast travel between Waygates you’ve already discovered.

As you progress, you’ll unlock the ability to create a Vampire Gateway at your Castle. Note that only the player who built it can use this gateway.

How to Build Vampire Waygates?

You can build a Vampire Waygate after defeating Polora the Feywalker, a level 34 boss. She drops the crafting recipe for the Vampire Gateway, along with Garden Floors and a Potion with Low Garlic Resistance.

To build a Vampire Gateway, gather the following materials:
– x200 Blood Essence
– x20 Plank
– x20 Copper Ingot
– x10 Gem Dust

Vampire Waygates Locations Map

Farbane Woods

You can find six Vampire Waygates in the Farbane Woods area, all marked on the map above.

Dunley Farmlands

Four additional Waygates can be found in the Dunley Farmlands area.

Hallowed Mountains

There are four Waypoints in the Hallowed Mountains region.

Silverlight Hills

Only one Waygate exists in the Silverlight Hills area.

Cursed Forest

Two additional Waypoints are located in the Cursed Forest.

Gloomrot

The final three Waypoints are in Gloomrot.

Cave Passages

Cave Passages offer a one-way trip, meaning you cannot choose your destination as each passage leads to a specific location. The exit is always on a cliff that cannot be accessed directly.

However, you can sometimes return to the cave’s entrance by standing near the Cave Passage outlet. Cave Passages allow you to transport supplies, which can be useful for gathering materials.

To find Cave Passages, look for glowing red fractures on rock faces. When you find one, approach the glowing breach and hold F to travel through the cave system.

It’s beneficial to build your Castle near Cave Passages to unload materials faster, especially in areas rich in endgame resources like the Cursed Forest.

V Rising Cave Locations

There are four Cave Passages in V Rising.

V Rising Cave Passage #1

The first entrance is in the Cursed Forest, southwest of Farbane Woods.

V Rising Cave Passage #2

The second entrance is also in the Cursed Forest, west of Dunley Farmlands.

V Rising Cave Passage #3

The third entrance is on the south side of Dunley Farmlands, opening in Farbane Forest.

V Rising Cave Passage #4

The fourth entrance is on the southeast side of Silverlight Hills, opening near the Hallowed Mountains.

Cannot Teleport While Carrying Resources

Using Waygates to teleport in V Rising has limitations, the most significant being that you cannot teleport while carrying resources. If you can’t teleport, this may be the reason. To fast travel, clear your inventory first.

This restriction applies only to resources like stone, copper, iron, and animal harvests. You can still teleport with your equipment, such as weapons and armor.

A well-designed base is crucial. When you want to teleport, store your resources in chests and travel with your equipment ready for any dangers ahead.
