Unlocking Wonder Weapon Swords in Black Ops 6 Zombies

Black Ops 6 debuted with two fully loaded Zombies maps: Liberty Falls and Terminus. However, the developers quickly added a third map, Citadelle des Morts, during the Season 1 Reloaded update. This new map features an expansive castle waiting to be explored, introducing new Wonder Weapons for players to discover.

In an exciting twist, the developers introduced a unique Sword Wonder Weapon in Black Ops 6. The Bastard Sword, in its basic form, serves as a formidable weapon against Zombies. To harness its true power, however, players need to activate the sword to transform it into one of four elemental Wonder Weapons. Below is a guide on how to acquire the Caliburn, Durendal, Balmung, and Solais on the Citadelle des Morts map in Zombies mode of Black Ops 6.

How to Obtain the Bastard Sword

Getting the Base Sword

The first step to unlock the elemental sword Wonder Weapons in Black Ops 6 Zombies involves finding the unpowered Bastard Sword in the Citadelle des Morts. Once you have the sword in your possession, you can proceed with activating its elemental abilities.

You’ll need to complete two main tasks to obtain the sword. First, you must activate a Pack-A-Punch Machine, and second, you need to collect a Stamp. Follow these steps to achieve both objectives:

1. Follow the orange icons leading you to a cannon.
2. Fire the cannon to open the entrance to the Oubliette Room.
3. Inside, locate a blue box and shoot the three locks.
4. Eliminate the Doppelghast Zombie and gather the Blood Aetherium Crystal.
5. Place the Crystal inside the blue box over the glowing red light to summon the Pack-A-Punch Machine.
6. Progress to Round 8 to unlock access to the Dining Hall.
7. Take down Zombies around the four knight statues until a helmeted Zombie appears.
8. Defeat that Zombie and collect the Stamp.
9. Offer the Stamp by interacting with one of the knight statues to receive the Bastard Sword.

Each knight has a symbol on their chest that signifies which sword it relates to. To wield the upgraded version of the Wonder Weapon Sword, you must interact with the statue corresponding to the weapon you want: Dragon/Caliburn, Stag/Durendal, Lion/Solais, or Raven/Balmung.

How to Acquire the Caliburn Wonder Weapon (Dragon/Fire)

The Fire Sword Will Incinerate Zombies

To obtain Caliburn in Black Ops 6 Zombies, you need to offer flames at the Dragon statue. Execute the following steps on Citadelle des Morts to unlock this Wonder Weapon:

1. Navigate to the Jugger-Nog room, and ascend the stairs to the Dragon statue.
2. Insert the Sword into the hilt facing the Dragon statue.
3. You must collect flames found in specific locations around the map and return them to the statue.
4. Glowing dots on the map above the statue indicate the flame locations.
5. Two flames can be found in the spawn area, while one is located near the cannon on the castle wall.
6. Collect the three flames individually and bring them back to the statue to transform the Bastard Sword into Caliburn.

Note:

Running while carrying a flame will drain your health. Get back to the statue as quickly as possible while evading the Zombies.

How to Get the Durendal Wonder Weapon (Stag/Storm)

You’ll Need to Face Numerous Zombies to Obtain Durendal

To obtain Durendal, you must gather three Lightning Rods scattered throughout Citadelle des Morts for the sword’s electrical charge. Follow these steps to find the Lightning Rods and secure the BO6 Wonder Weapon:

1. Go to the Arsenal machine and equip Dead Wire on your weapon.
2. Proceed to the courtyard (check the mini-map) and find an electrical box on the side of a building.
3. Shoot the box and collect the Lightning Rod it releases.
4. Grab the second Lightning Rod located left of the Deadshot Perk machine among some boxes.
5. Eliminate an armored Zombie that randomly appears to acquire the final Lightning Rod.
6. Ascend to the top of the castle wall in the courtyard and find a device to hold your three Lightning Rods.
7. Once activated, an electrical storm will commence. Stay in the area and use the sword to kill Zombies.
8. After defeating enough Zombies, the sword will charge electrically.
9. Melee the device once the sword is fully charged to transfer the electricity.
10. Repeat this process two more times.
11. Finally, place your sword in the device to receive the Durendal Wonder Weapon.

How to Acquire the Solais Wonder Weapon (Lion/Light)

Blind Your Enemies with the Illuminating Solais

Getting the Solais Wonder Weapon involves killing Parasites, opening a locked area, and completing a puzzle. Follow these steps to obtain Solais in BO6:

1. After collecting the Bastard Sword from the Lion-crested knight, four glowing Parasites will attack.
2. Eliminate one of the Parasites to make your sword glow yellow, leaving the others alive.
3. Head outside to the Courtyard and move to the Upper Village part of the map.
4. Locate a wooden door with a Lion knocker (that has glowing yellow eyes).
5. Melee the door or knocker with your glowing sword to reveal a symbol.
6. Melee the remaining glowing Parasites one at a time, followed by the door.
7. Interact with the door once all four glowing symbols are visible.
8. Enter the tunnel when the door opens and place the sword into the stone base.
9. A symbol will appear at the bottom of the stone structure.
10. Shoot the glowing symbols on the wall that correspond with the symbol at the stone base until the sword transforms into the Solais Wonder Weapon.

Important Note:

Once you enter the tunnel and see symbols on the walls, a timer begins. Complete the task before the timer expires, or you’ll be teleported out of the room.

How to Obtain the Balmung Wonder Weapon (Raven/Shadow)

The Path to Obtaining Balmung is the Most Challenging of the Four

The puzzle needed to acquire Balmung in Black Ops 6 Zombies is more complex than with the other three swords. Pay attention to your Antiquity during this process by following these steps on Citadelle des Morts:

1. Go to the Alchemical Lab (near the Stamin-Up Perk).
2. Look for an Antiquity within the small room. This Antiquity can vary from game to game, so keep pressing the interact button until you see a notification confirming you’ve collected it.
3. make your way back to the spawn area and head to an area called Village Ascent.
4. You’ll notice a strange device on one of the walls. Interact with the device and place your Sword inside it.

5. Rotate the device so that the green line at the bottom aligns with your corresponding Antiquity symbol:

   • Scorpion = ♏︎ + 🜄
   • Raven skulls = ♊︎ + 🜁
   • Horns = ♈︎ + 🜂
   • Jaw = ♌︎ + 🜂
   • Fish rock = ♓︎ + 🜄
   • Antlers = ♑︎ + 🜃 or ♐︎ + 🜄
6. A portal appears in the room.
7. Guide the glowing balls into the portal until it travels to the next location.
8. Repeat the process two more times.
9. Go back to the symbol-matching device and claim the Balmung Wonder Weapon.

Each Wonder Weapon Sword available in Citadelle des Morts allows for standard melee attacks and parries, but don’t forget to unleash their unique special attacks by holding L2 and R2 (LT and RT) simultaneously once charged. In a team of two, three, or four players, each participant can wield their own Wonder Weapon Sword, since each Black Ops 6 Operator can carry one.
