In Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, selecting the right weapons, ammunition, and healing supplies is crucial for your survival. Equally important is your choice of armor, which helps protect you from various hazards in the Zone, including radiation, toxic substances, and the psi-energy present in anomalies. Acquiring a reliable suit early in the game can greatly enhance your chances of survival.
The entire Zone is accessible early in the game, but one particular suit stands out for its versatility and effectiveness from the beginning through to the endgame.
How To Get The Svea-D Suit
The Seva-D Suit is regarded as one of the best armor sets available after you complete the Beyond Seven Seals mission and exit the Lesser Zone tutorial.
Once you obtain the Key to the Northern Checkpoint and hear the announcement about the lockdown being lifted in Zalissya, your adventure to find the suit can begin.
From Zalissya, head north and use the key to unlock the door at the left side of the Northern Checkpoint. Throw a bolt through the window to disperse the anomaly, and cross the damaged bridge into the Garbage region.
Alternatively, you can exit through the southeastern gate of the Lesser Zone, but this route will take you longer to reach the armor.
From the broken bridge, navigate northeast towards an area known as The Cage, a ruined construction site located in the Cement Factory region. It’s roughly a 1.5-kilometer journey or about a five-minute sprint without stamina refills.
As you approach The Cage, you’ll notice an odd altar-like structure on top. This is the largest abandoned building for miles. To retrieve the Seva-D suit, you’ll need to make your way to the roof.
Getting to the top of The Cage requires some careful platforming skills and possibly a few healing items to compensate for the health drain experienced within the anomaly. You start by taking the staircase from the ground floor.
Once you reach the top of the stairs, head north and use the beams to reach another set of stairs. Cross to the next area and look for a wall with a ladder behind it.
Carefully make your way across the beams to the east, and then proceed south towards the ladders. Climb up, and you should find some boxes that will help you reach the next level.
From there, jump onto the northern platform, but be cautious as there will be a steep drop on your left. Continue across the next platforms following these steps:
- Descend the first platform and turn right at the end.
- Turn left when you reach the large beam.
- Follow the thin beam with the hanging wire to the right.
- Jump to the platform ahead with a puddle.
- Proceed across the wooden boards, through the doorway, and up the next staircase.
Upon reaching the top of this staircase, you’ll face one last challenge: performing a sprint-jump over a gap with a small area to safely land. It’s advisable to save your game before attempting this leap in case anything goes wrong.
After making the jump, you’ll ascend one more staircase. Then, travel southwest to the edge of the roof of the Cage, where you will discover a camp, a stash, and ultimately, the Seva-D Suit.
Seva-D Suit Overview
The Seva-D Suit is an excellent choice in terms of armor for various story campaign scenarios, primarily due to its balanced stats. While it doesn’t exceed the highest stats for every category, its attributes are well-suited for early-game players and relatively easy to obtain.
Seva-D Suit Stats:
- Thermal Protection: 1.1
- Electrical Protection: 1.4
- Chemical Protection: 1.3
- Radiation Protection: 2.5
- Psi Protection: 1.6
- Physical Protection: 3.0
A standout feature of this suit is its Psi Protection, rated at 1.6, which is impressive compared to many early-game armors. There’s even a late-game quest focusing on finding armor with psi resistance, making the Seva-D a valuable asset during that phase.
This armor is also lightweight, weighing just eight kilograms, and comes equipped with three artifact slots, which can be upgraded to expand its capacity.
You’ll notice a significant difference when you equip the Seva-D Suit compared to any armor acquired in the Lesser Zone, especially in combat and when navigating through anomaly areas.
Once you have the Seva-D Suit, you may not feel the need for additional armor unless specific situations arise, although be cautious, as repairing the suit is costly, typically over 30,000 coupons when heavily damaged.
Ensure you maintain the armor to avoid excessive repair costs, allowing you to enjoy multiple hours of gameplay amid battles and explorations in the Zone.
