These are essential for upgrading your equipment, enhancing your base, and building various structures for different functions. Fortunately, you won’t be doing this alone; your pals will help with many tasks at your base.
While your pals can collect nearby resources and assist with chores, there will be moments when you’ll need to hunt for specific materials yourself. Ore is particularly vital for crafting and construction. In the latest update, a new tool called the Metal Detector has been introduced to simplify finding ore, making the search much more manageable.
The Metal Detector is a new crafting tool introduced after the Feybreak update, and to create it, you need to take a few steps. First, you need to unlock the recipe for the Metal Detector, which requires you to level up your character to level 56.
Once you reach that level, access the menu, move to the Technology section, and scroll down until you find the Metal Detector recipe at level 56. Use your Technology points to unlock it. After unlocking the recipe, you will need the right production setup to craft it: specifically, the Production Assembly Line 2.
Just like the Weapon Assembly Line 2, the Production Assembly Line 2 requires power to operate. To provide this power, you’ll need to have at least one Power Generator with an Electric Pal assigned to it. This will ensure the setup receives the necessary power to function.
Once everything is in place, you can craft the Metal Detector. Go to the Production Assembly Line 2, interact with it, find the Metal Detector recipe, and create it using the required materials.
The Metal Detector, as the name implies, helps you find hidden nearby ore. It emits a wave that scans your environment, enabling you to discover ores that might be difficult to locate otherwise.
