A unique offering from the formless mother to Mohg, the Bloodboon Incantation enables you to hurl fiery blood at your foes in Elden Ring. This blood generates pools of flames that cause Blood Loss to anyone who steps into them.
This guide will walk you through acquiring the Bloodboon ritual in Elden Ring and demonstrate how to use it effectively with your Bleed Build.
Where to Find the Bloodboon Incantation in Elden Ring
The Bloodboon ritual can only be obtained by trading the Remembrance of the Blood Lord with Enia at the Roundtable Hold.
To acquire this remembrance, you need to defeat Mohg, the Lord of Blood, who resides at the end of the Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum within the Mohgwyn Palace.
You can reach Mohgwyn Palace relatively early by completing the White Mask Varre questline or by progressing to the Consecrated Snowfield.
This location is considered a late-game area, and you’ll find a Teleporter on the western side that leads directly to Mohgwyn Palace.
Be cautious; Mohg is a formidable adversary, especially if you challenge him too soon. It’s advisable to be at least level 100 before attempting to defeat him. Once you overcome him, he will drop the Remembrance of the Blood Lord.
Afterward, fast travel to the Roundtable Hold and speak with Enia, located near the two fingers. She will offer you either Bloodboon or Mohgwyn’s Sacred Spear in exchange.
You can also utilize the Walking Mausoleum to duplicate the Remembrance, allowing you to acquire both items in a single playthrough.
Requirements and Uses of the Bloodboon Incantation
To cast the Bloodboon ritual, you’ll need 17 Arcane and 14 Faith, along with a reliable sacred seal.
This incantation consumes 13 FP, requires 34 Stamina, and occupies a single spell slot. When cast, it creates pools of blood that inflict Hemorrhage on enemies.
Bloodboon Incantation is particularly potent against large enemies, such as the Magma Wyrm and Elden Beast, as each blood pool is treated as an individual weapon, significantly increasing your chances of causing Blood Loss.
We recommend pairing this Incantation with Bleed Builds in Elden Ring to enhance your effectiveness against both gigantic foes and smaller enemies in tighter spaces.
The Bloodboon Incantation synergizes efficiently with the following items:
- White Mask of Varre (boosts attack power by 10% during bleeding)
- Lord of Blood’s Exultation Talisman (boosts attack power by 20% when causing blood loss)
- Fire Scorpion Charm (12% boost to attack power)
- Flame-Shrouding Cracked Tear (20% boost to attack power)
- Flame, Grant Me Strength (20% boost to attack power)
