The Black Hood is a distinctive piece of headgear in Elden Ring, designed to mask the wearer’s identity. This leather armor component not only offers decent protection against enemy attacks but also alters its appearance when equipped.
This guide will walk you through finding the Black Hood in Elden Ring and provide tips on maximizing its effectiveness.
Where to Find the Black Hood in Elden Ring
You can find the Black Hood hidden within a treasure chest located behind an illusory wall in the Sage’s Cave. This mysterious cave lies at the northern end of a ravine on the Altus Plateau.
From the Site of Grace, take a left and strike the wall at the end of the tunnel. This is another illusory wall, and breaking it down will allow you to continue.
Continue through the tunnel on the right and eliminate both skeleton foes. Stick to the right wall and hit the wall at the very end.
This wall is also illusory and leads you into a room containing two treasure chests. Go down the ramp and take a left at the corpse in front of you. Strike the illusory wall at the end to access a tunnel filled with more skeletons.
To acquire the Black Hood in Elden Ring, open the second chest from the left in that area.
