Resin is a unique and valuable resource in Fisch, crucial for finishing the Bubble Mermaid quest. Aside from trading with other players, the only way to obtain Resin is through fishing, which requires both patience and a bit of luck, along with a good fishing rod.
Finding Resin opens up opportunities for exploring the underwater world, making it a desirable item. If you’re curious about the best spots to snag it and how to boost your chances, you’re in the right place. Here’s everything you need to know.
How To Obtain Resin
To start, head over to the Grand Reef and locate the Bubble Mermaid. After a brief chat, she will request three pieces of Resin from you.
The only spot where you can catch Resin is at Mushgrove Swamp, situated near Moosewood. You can find this swamp at the coordinates 2425, 130, -670. Simply cast your line in one of the swamp’s ponds to begin your quest for Resin.
Keep in mind that the chance of getting a Resin drop is quite low. To increase your success, make sure to use the best fishing rod available. Look for rods that offer high luck, such as the Destiny Rod, Heaven’s Rod, or Kraken Rod. These rods will boost your chances of landing Resin.
Unfortunately, there are no specific weather conditions, times of day, or types of bait that can enhance your chances of catching Resin.
However, you can further improve your odds by fishing during special events, like Server Luck Boosts or Aurora Borealis occurrences. It’s also a good idea to enchant your fishing rod to increase its luck. If you have enough relics, aim for the Hasty or Lucky enchantments, as they can significantly speed up the collection process.
How To Use Resin
Once you’ve successfully caught the Resin you need, return to the Bubble Mermaid to complete the quest. In addition to the Resin, you will also need to pay her 25,000 C$. In exchange, she will reward you with the Water Bubble, a fantastic item for underwater exploration. The Water Bubble functions similarly to Diving Gear but allows you to breathe underwater for an extended period.
