Helphen’s Steeple is a colossal sword inspired by the guiding lampwood that leads souls through the underworld. This Intelligence-based weapon in Elden Ring is favored by those who have faced death in battle and emerged stronger.
This guide will assist you in finding the Helphen’s Steeple Greatsword and provide tips on how to build a formidable Intelligence-focused character capable of vanquishing foes effortlessly.
Where to Find Helphen’s Steeple

To claim the Helphen’s Steeple Greatsword in Elden Ring, you must defeat the Tibia Mariner boss located on the Mountaintops of the Giants.
This boss can be found south of Castle Sol and north of the Snow Valley Ruins Overlook. Before you can access this area, ensure you complete Leyndell, the Royal Capital, to unlock the Forbidden Lands. Make your way to the Grand Lift of Rold to reach the Mountaintop of the Giants, then follow the trail towards the Fire Giant until you reach the northern edge of the map.

In this vicinity, you will encounter a Tibia Mariner mini-boss to the south. This enemy is relatively easy to defeat, whether on horseback or on foot, but be cautious of the numerous minions it summons—engaging them is generally not advised.
Upon defeating the Tibia Mariner, you’ll receive the Helphen’s Steeple Greatsword as your reward.
