The legendary PPSH-41 returns in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, breathing new life into the submachine gun category with its rapid-fire capabilities and impressive agility. This weapon shines in both Multiplayer and Zombies modes, but only if you select the best attachments.
While the PPSH looks promising, its initial recoil and limited magazine capacity can be drawbacks. Fortunately, with the right modifications through Gunsmith, it can turn into one of the most formidable weapons in Black Ops 6. In this guide, we’ll explore two setups to maximize the PPSH’s potential—one for Multiplayer and the other for Zombies.
How to Unlock the PPSH-41
To unlock the PPSH-41, players need to progress through the Season 2 Battle Pass. It’s the final reward on Page 6 and requires at least 29 Battle Pass tokens to obtain. Players who own Blackcell can unlock this page early for quicker access. Acquiring the weapon via the Battle Pass or an in-game bundle will guarantee that it remains unlocked for both Multiplayer and Zombies, even after you prestige.
Once Season 2 concludes, players can unlock the PPSH-41 through the Armory Unlocks system by selecting it in the Armory menu and earning it via XP.

Recoil Springs (Fire Mod) | -10% recoil kick, -10% overall recoil |
The PPSH-41 becomes an absolute beast in Multiplayer if you manage its recoil. A Vertical Foregrip is essential to stabilize the zig-zag recoil pattern, complemented by a Compensator for better control. Adding Recoil Springs as your fire mod will render the gun nearly recoil-free for the first 15 shots.
Once recoil is under control, enhancing lethality is the next step. Extended Mags II significantly boosts magazine capacity, while a Long Barrel extends your effective damage range. Complete this setup with an optic, Quickdraw Stock, and Target Laser.

Zombies PPSH-41 Build
PPSH-41 Build Overview
Attachment | Pros and Cons | Advanced Stats |
---|---|---|
OM3 ’92 Holo (Optic) | ||
Compensator (Muzzle) | ||
Long Barrel (Barrel) | ||
Ranger Foregrip (Underbarrel) | +Increases sprint speed | |
Extended Mag II (Magazine) | +Increases magazine capacity, -Slower reload speed | 55-round magazine, +22% reload speed |
Quickdraw Stock (Stock) | +Faster aim down sights, -Less flinch resistance | |
Target Laser (Laser) | +Reduces aiming sway, +Improves stability while moving | |
Rapid Fire (Fire Mod) | -Minor recoil increase for faster rate |
The PPSH-41 requires minimal adjustments to excel in Zombies mode. Replacing the Vertical Foregrip with a Ranger Foregrip boosts sprint speed. Additionally, swapping out Recoil Springs for Rapid Fire offers a slight fire rate enhancement, making up for the increase in recoil—less of a concern in Zombies where accuracy isn’t as crucial.
