The Model L stands out as one of the most powerful assault rifles in Black Ops 6. Although it doesn’t have a rapid-fire capability, each shot delivers impressive damage with little drop-off over distance. When you equip the correct attachments, this weapon can eliminate opponents with just three hits from great distances or operate as a highly precise AR with almost no recoil.
In this discussion, we’ll explore two different setups for the Model L that enhance its performance. One is tailored for Multiplayer, ideal for stealthy gameplay or camo grinding, while the other emphasizes objective-focused gameplay and can easily be adapted for Zombies with minor adjustments.
Multiplayer Model L Build
Model L Build | ||
---|---|---|
Attachment | Pros And Cons | Advanced Stats |
Volzhiskiy Reflex (Optic) | ||
Suppressor (Muzzle) | ||
Vertical Foregrip (Underbarrel) |

|
Quickdraw Grip (Rear Grip) | ||
Recoil Springs (Fire Mod) |
|
The Model L is a beast in terms of damage, but it does have a fair amount of recoil. This build aims to enhance the rifle’s accuracy by incorporating Recoil Springs to cut down recoil by approximately 10%. This helps control vertical movement, while horizontal recoil can be tackled with the Vertical Foregrip. Together, these upgrades allow for almost no recoil.
Since the iron sights on the Model L are not the best, it’s advisable to add any optic, such as the Volzhiskiy Reflex. For better aiming down sights (ADS) speed, include the Quickdraw Grip, and a Suppressor will keep you off the enemy’s radar. If you’re gearing up for Warzone or simply dislike frequent reloading, consider swapping the Suppressor for a larger magazine.

When using a suppressed weapon, the Recon specialty is ideal due to the advantages of Ghost. As long as you keep moving, you won’t be visible on enemy radar. If you want to play a sneaky game and flank, Ninja is a great choice too. Alternatively, if your strategy involves staying on the attack, you’re better off with a blue perk from column two, and consider using Flak Jacket as your Perk Greed.
Vigilance helps activate the Recon bonus and is beneficial for ignoring enemy CUAVs. With Ninja, consider using Fast Hands for quick weapon swaps. Flak Jacket users should switch to Tracker so you can track down opponents through walls during fights.

This configuration is also effective in Zombies.
The most effective attachment for the Model L is the CHF Barrel, which allows this weapon to eliminate enemies in just three shots if you can score two headshots. It can achieve exceptionally low time-to-kill rates if your aim is steady, but the CHF Barrel significantly increases the gun’s recoil. Thankfully, you can mitigate this with specific attachments.
To maintain usability over long distances, include the Compensator, a Vertical Foregrip, and Recoil Springs, which are crucial for managing the slower rate of fire associated with this rifle. An optic is also needed to replace the gun’s bulky iron sights. While you could get by with just these five attachments, we suggest using the Gunfighter Wildcard to add a few more enhancements:
- Target Laser: This dramatically reduces the aim idle sway, making it easier to win long-range encounters and 1v2s.
- Extended Mag I: Increases your magazine capacity, allowing you to take down multiple foes before needing to reload.
- Quickdraw Grip: Cuts down the aiming down sights time.

For this build, we recommend the Strategist Specialty since we’re not equipping a suppressor. Flak Jacket is crucial in Multiplayer, while Fast Hands is ideal for quick weapon changes. The Guardian perk is perfect for defending objectives. Don’t forget to pack some Stims for rapid HP recovery and War Cry for a quick boost in speed and health regeneration.
