Are you looking to craft a new Iron Pickaxe in Runescape: Dragonwilds? To do that, you will need a total of four Blightwood. However, this valuable resource has other uses as well. The challenge lies in finding Blightwood, which could be the toughest part of your journey to create that Iron Pickaxe. But don’t worry, we’re here to guide you through it.
Here’s how to collect this sought-after material in abundance, along with some tips to consider before you head out. Soon enough, you’ll be swimming in Blightwood – not literally, but you get the idea!
How To Gather Blightwood In Runescape: Dragonwilds
To collect Blightwood, you’ll need to venture into one of the more treacherous areas of Runescape: Dragonwilds – the Bloodblight Swamp.
However, getting there can be quite challenging when you’re just starting out. While it is possible to make the trek, you’ll encounter many higher-level enemies along the way, which can make it frustrating and not worth the effort early in the game.
But that’s okay, because the Iron Pickaxe that you can make with Blightwood is a bit excessive for beginners; you won’t need its power for quite a while. Still, having it early can be helpful!
To reach Bloodblight Swamp, start from Bramblewood Valley, travel through the narrow Whispering Swamp, and when you get to the Fractured Plains, just continue east.
Once you’re in Bloodblight Swamp, remember to deal with poison damage, as the area is filled with it. You’ll need an Anti-Poison Potion to help with this.
Once you make it to Bloodblight Swamp, finding Blightwood will be the easy part. It’s abundant throughout the area. Just make sure you have a Bronze Axe or a better tool with you, or you won’t be able to chop it down!
