An upgrade for the PS5, possibly free, for one of the top PS4 RPGs has been leaked by Sony. The first hint of an unannounced PS5 version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance appeared last July, but recent PS Store listings now explicitly mention the PS5 version, suggesting an upcoming release.
Leaked PS5 Upgrade for Kingdom Come: Deliverance—Will It Be Free?
A now-removed PS Store description indicated that the PS5 version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance would feature enhanced graphics, including 4K resolution, smoother frame rates, high-resolution textures, and more. The blurb claimed, “Medieval Bohemia has never looked so beautiful.” This information appeared on multiple regional PS Store pages before being taken down, although screenshots confirming the details have circulated online.
Regarding whether the upgrade will be free, publishers typically offer free PS5 upgrades to owners of the PS4 version. However, some companies require a small fee to cover the costs of porting games. We’ll have to wait to see what Warhorse Studios and Deep Silver decide. It’s also likely that they’ll release a bundle of Kingdom Come parts 1 and 2 for new players.
