Max Mondays in Pokémon GO: January 2025 Events
In January 2025, players can take part in Max Monday events in Pokémon GO, where they’ll have the chance to battle various Gigantamax Pokémon. These special Max Battles are held only once a week, making it essential to keep track of when they happen. Some Max Mondays may also offer the opportunity to catch Shiny versions of these Pokémon, so knowing how to join before the event is crucial.
Max Mondays resemble Raid battles in Pokémon GO, featuring powerful Gigantamax Pokémon. During these battles, you’ll gradually build up Max Energy to fill your Max Meter, enabling you to Dynamax your Pokémon. The Max Moves your Dynamaxed Pokémon can utilize often play a significant role in achieving victory, particularly against tougher enemies.
Max Mondays Schedule for January 2025
Be Ready to Battle Strong Pokémon Every Week
There are four weeks of Max Mondays scheduled for January 2025, starting from where the December 2024 event left off. Some Pokémon, like Dynamax Cryogonal, may appear multiple times across the month, while others will only show up once. Expect to encounter more challenging opponents during battles featuring rarer Pokémon, particularly starter Pokémon from various regions.

How Do Max Mondays Work?
Max Mondays present Dynamax battles clearly, unlike hidden encounters with Team Rocket leaders. All Max Mondays start at 6 PM local time and run until 7 PM. This limited timeframe means you need to be quick in finding a Dynamax Pokémon battle, but you can challenge them as many times as you want once you locate one.
Participants in Max Battles will recognize the format from regular Raid battles. Dynamax Pokémon will appear at Power Spots—significant locations on your in-game map similar to PokéStops. To join a Max Monday event, you’ll need at least one Dynamax Pokémon, so make sure your collection is ready.
During the battle, you can team up with up to three friends, each with their own Dynamax Pokémon, to strategize and increase your chances of winning. Keep an eye on the featured Pokémon during the event—sometimes, Dynamax Machop might change to Dynamax Ghastly at any moment, making it even more challenging to know exactly when your preferred Pokémon will make an appearance.
As January 2025 progresses, each Max Monday in Pokémon GO offers a refreshing new experience for trainers—you won’t want to miss out on these action-packed events! Grab your friends, gear up, and get ready for the thrill of Max Mondays!
